Handmade BBQ Sauce Pack for Father’s Day ⋆ Design Mom

So your dad has the shiny BBQ, he has the large over-sized BBQ utensils and now you’re scratching your head as to what to get him for Fathers day. Enough of the scratching, here’s a practical and fun fathers day gift for you that will take his BBQ’ing to a whole new level.

First, whip up a batch of your family’s favourite BBQ marinade or meat rub. For this pack, I used a spicy rub recipe:

Spicy BBQ Rub Recipe

2 tablespoons chilli powder
2 tablespoons sea salt flakes
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon smoky paprika
1 tablespoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Mix all ingredients in a bowl, adjusting to your individual taste. Pour into a small mason jars.

Next, it’s time to package the jars as a manly gift.

2. Print & cut out
3. Hole punch end
4. Use thread with leather cord, and attach around mason jar lids.

You could make a simple, thoughtful gift of one jar. Or make a basket with a BBQ rub, BBQ sauce and a sauce brush too.
